Would You Agree That Feed-Back Is Important In Ab Threads.?
15 Answers
Most of my posting are in the Technology Section of AB and there I think that Feed-back is important for future reference of Techies. The same can also apply to all other sections of AB.
Let's get matters in perspective by my admitting that my knowledge of Technical matters has evolved from reading what AB's Top Techies have said and noting the feed-back involved.
However, some folk will post a question and, after having been given a few suggestions, will come back with something along the lines of .."Thanks, everything now working ok". However, because of a lack of real feed-back, no-one knows who provided the solution to the problem.
Hans.

Whenever I have posed a specific question aimed at solving a problem I always return to the thread to say whether the solution worked or not. I also do so to say thanks for taking the trouble to reply, even if the solution was not successful. I think it's called good manners, but I may be out of touch,
I have been banging on about feedback for about 8 years and all I have had is a load of abuse.
Some ABers just forget, but other ABers (the same ones) are repeated maldoers, but i am glad to say that the few that do have a repartee with posters make AB worth while.
Hans....don't bother complaining, as AB will never change, I just have a list of ABers that i will not involve myself with their threads.

I think feedback is important. In crossword and quizzes. Also in medical. I have used sqad's help and advice on a couple of occasions, without him urging me to see the Doc, I would have been in a mess. It's only polite to report back with the outcome.. Let's face it in real life if you ask someone's advice you expect some form of feedback?
