Has anyone recenctly heard about this in the local N. Yorks news. Apparently there have been several sightingg of this Tiger in and arounf Tadcaster. Enough so that nearby RAF units are constantly scouting the ground from the air. Anyone else heard about this?

I saw it on NTL's web page but their link wasn't working so didn't read it, then promptly forgot about it until seeing your post just now.
I'm North Yorks, so it's quite scary to think you could come across it whilst on a walk!
Beggers belief that some people think they can keep these as pets, then release them into the wild when they get a bit big!!!

makes you wonder what idiot would want a tiger for a pet. If you read this section of AB regularly you read about all the problems that people have with normal pussy cats.
Imagine a tiger scratching your woodwork, bringing home 'presents' and lying on your head when you are trying to sleep. And think how loudly it would snore, my little devil sounded like a cement mixer and he only weighed 4 kg.
