machecol do you have the tape cassette i mean? if so the one i want is an instrumental its classical type of melody but fast(the first tune on it is the alton towers advert)i want to know what its called and who by.

Have I misunderstood your earlier post? Was this a cassette you used to have of just Fog on the Tyne (Gazza & Lindisfarne) with 3 other tracks on it or was it a compilation casette (like Now 45 or something) which just happened to have Gazza and the instrumental you are trying to find?

If the former the only thing I could find was the cassette with only two songs on it / repeated on side 2.

It was a puzzle which I was trying to find the answer for you.

In the Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg has been used in an Alton Towers advert.

I'm sure it has been used more than once in a "pop" sense.

I just checked this on www.allmusic.com by typing "In The Hall of the Mountain King" into the search box. Lots listed.

As I type this Gazza is on the TV on the Q channel singing ........... yes you guessed - Fog on the Tyne.
