Nothing from UKIP about the economy, education, the NHS, defence, etc, etc......just the usual anti-Muslim nonsense !

I do love elections, I do, I do !

//Bit of an insult to goats there Mush. //

yes you're right. I'd vote for Mr BG Gruff......
You're just voting on the hoof aintcha?
I agree with
banning the burka
banning sharia
banning postal voting for any fit enough to take a few minutes of their time to get to a polling station and vote.
part of me would ban the Burkha, but the other half of me says let women dress as they want, though i can't say which i dislike more, a woman dressed top to toe in burkha, or women half dressed on a night out clubbing
its their choice, i don't have to like it though.
More pro women, pro openness nonsense. Terrible stuff for the manifesto. They're stuck in the 21st century.
"I do love elections, I do, I do!"

I envy you, Mikey. Elections depress me.
This election is depressing because the only sensible vote is for the Cons.
All politicians of all parties break promises. It’s what they do. I saw a sign outside a party headquarters once which said “dig here for fifty pounds”. A few hapless souls took a spade as suggested. After digging down a few feet they found a piece of paper upon which was written “…of good quality topsoil. Thanks for helping us dig our vegetable plot over”.

The Bank Holiday idea is just the job. As usual, demonstrating a remarkable degree of generosity with other people’s money. England & Wales currently get 8 days public holidays/Bank Holidays. Of these three fall at Christmas and four fall between 19th March (the earliest date for Good Friday) and the end of May. This proposal would put another three (March 1st, March 17th and April 23rd) in that period. So, seven days off in the three months between March 1st and May 31st and just one more between then and Christmas. Very well though through.

I don’t think I can take six weeks of claim and counter claim and will be doing my best to resist commenting on every snippet the press gets hold of. As Talbot says, a Tory government is the only outcome that will see the UK prosper come Brexit. In fact, at the moment, it’s the only outcome that will see the UK survive as a nation that other countries might take seriously. The notion that Mr Corbyn might secure the keys to No 10 is too horrendous to contemplate, even for many Labour supporters.
Actually you are a day out, NJ. The earliest possible date for Easter is 22nd March (latest 25th April) which means the earliest date for Good Friday is 20th March. These extremes happen roughly once in 150 years.
Yes thanks Jackdaw. First Sunday after 21st.

Whenever Easter falls it still means seven Bank/public holidays in three months. I think the point really is that there seems to be no thought given to this.

JC: "Let's tell 'em they can have four more Bank Holidays" [for no apparent reason other than to garner votes].

JC's Lackey: "When do you think they should be, JC?"

JC: "Not a clue. Let's say the four saints' days, whenever they are"

JC's Lackey: "Great! I'll tell the BBC immediately"
meanwhile the employers are up in arms because they are seeing their staff go off on their jollies when there is work piling up.
