You are advised to back up your system before installing any such trial software.
I am running it on 3 PCs at present with no problems whatsoever and the tabbed browsing works great.
I am amazed that any company would provide a warranty exchange PC for a self-induced software problem and would suggest that the problem was something more serious and the retailer jumped upon your suggestion that IE7 was to blame in order to show their product in a better light.

I use Opera, Avanti, Firefox, Slimbrowser IE6 & IE7 and prefer Opera of them all but that is a personal preference and is not the point in question here.
I was simply pointing out that fleckboys advice regarding IE7 was not sound advice as he claimed and contained several erroneous statements.
The merits of the various free browsers have been discussed previously at length and it boils down to personal choice.
IE7 is a step forward with its tabbed browsing,
Don`t knock it until you`ve tried it.

IE7 is currently in a BETA release. Home users should not install it until it is released officially (even then, I would wait a good 6 months before installing it).
Some sound advice I would give to you : IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, DON'T FIX IT.
The more software you install, the more likely you are to introduce problems.

OBonio, have you even bothered to read through this thread before posting. If you had, you would see that you are virtually repeating what has already been stated with the addition a Luddite`s view of progress.
IE7 is a major advance over IE6 and I stand by my assertion that no retailer would warranty exchange a PC purely because someone was trialling IE7 and even Mr Gates hasn`t stooped so low as to include virii in his offerings.
