And add insult to injury some venues want you to lash a good few quid for an accompanying sauce.
Trip to the butcher is on the cards but shrooms and toms will be off the menu.
If/when serving a steak what do you serve on the side? Am I just weird?

When at home the veg varies according to season and the sauce to mood.....not to mention what needs using up from the nether regions of the fridge.
I still have nightmares about my grandmothers cooked to death steak served with lukewarm, lumpy mash. I assume there were vegetables served but I must have cast them from my mind!
