F/book Have Suspended My Account..

I use it it regularly everyday, for keeping in touch with family & friends, forums where I live, and lived, political & topical news groups, and a game & puzzles etc.

Cant remember exact words that popped up, but it said something like, due to a security breach/attack, or ....??...?..... with your account, and been suspended.
To prove who you are, you need to upload a photo of yourself, alone or with a group, and you will be notified in 72 hours of your verification.

I dont have a photo of myself on F/B, or one that indicates its me, as I just have an emblem on the heading, and in any case, how would they know it was me, so sent a photo from Skype, to see what happens.

I have tried to sign in a few time today, and get this message.

Thanks for sending your photo. We'll email you within 72 hours if it meets our requirements.
At the moment, your account has been disabled as a security precaution.

Anybody heard of similar as this, before?

No experience of Facebook, Trt but:

To prove who you are, you need to upload a photo of yourself, alone or with a group, and you will be notified in 72 hours of your verification.
Sounds a bit daft to me. You could send a picture of your local postman. How would they know who it was?

I had something like that recently. I was sent a list of profiles and I had to say which ones were my friends. I did get instant access to my account after that though - I didn't have to wait 72 hours.
