Rover head gasket???
Hello my husband went and brought a rover 414 last monday.Took it to a local garage as it is second hand, and had no service history[i know!]
The garage looked at the engine and said theres oil in the water which is a classic sympton of the head gasket going. The car hasnt overheated at all and starts and drives excellantly.
My question is, is this a massive problem? Does it need fixed right now? and will it be pricey?
Thanks so much

I brought some last week. It's worth a try as all you do is put it in the water system (after youv'e drained the system of any anti freeze) and run it until the engines warm and then drain the system Good luck
