I'm afraid I'm being a bit sarcastic, but another baby has been born to a celebrity couple, Steve and Alex Gerrard and they have called their baby, Lio. Not Leo or Lionel, no, Lio. It was reported during the week that Cheryl and Liam have called their baby Bear, and it seems they are not the only ones to use this name.! Just to amuse me, can you tell me of other celebrities or non-celebrities that have given their baby (shall we say) an unusual name.I'll start off by saying Gwyneth Paltrow and Apple.

No idea mikey. My daughter's friend called her baby Lyla. I have to think before I say her name as all I can think of is Lilo (Lill) from Bread.
But that is the central problem with made-up names....its not immediately obvious how to pronounce the name.

This poor lad will spend his whole life saying something like :::

"No, its not LIE OH, its LEE OH !"
That's your problem not the girl's or her name though, Barsel.
mikey, so what would you do with the large influx of Polish names?

Teacher 'I've got written down here Józef Bogdanowicz'
'might struggle with that so I will call you Joey Bogski'

No, you wouldn't would you .... you listen to the name and try your best to pronounce it.

Yes I suppose it is my problem Talbot. A name is a name, but not as we know it.I will just have to get used to it.:-)
Don't look at Irish names then.
fnarr fnarr Finbarr
Celebs have been giving their children unusual names for decades. David Bowie's son was called Zowie until he changed it to Duncan.

Everyone else is trying to keep up.
It's a refreshing change when they call them something normal. Victoria Coren Mitchell and David Mitchell named their daughter Barbara.
Rolan Bolan always made me smirk and that was in the 70's.
Don't forget Rolan Bolan's brother ...
