Morning all, was wondering has anybody on here won the "You" magazine crossword? It's a pity they don't publish the winners each week. You have to send a stamped addressed envelope to know who won!
I won one of the runner up prizes (£25) about three months ago. Hadn't been doing the crossword that long so was pleasantly surprised. Cheque arrived about three weeks after doing crossword with covering letter. I see they have now changed the format and you have less time to complete.
I have being doing the You Magazine Xword for quite a while. Never won. Sent S.A.E on a few occasions but got no reply. Why dont they they publish winners if there are any
Good question ginvodka -It does make you wonder....
I too, as well as several members of my family, have been doing the crossword since it started. Never won a thing. Think they should definitely publish at least the main winner - However I have won the daily mail prize crossword quite a few times
I've been doing it for ages without ever winning.Just lately I contacted the office to enquire as to why they never publish winners names.allthough they took my name and email address I still haven't heard a word from them.I wonder if its Ireland only or is it open UK as well.
I think its quite worrying if they dont even respond to requests for the winners list or to you Fieldsman on your telephone enquiry - perhaps we should all send an sae for winners list and compare notes in 6 weeks time. Think I might put a post on the My Cup of Tea Forum on DM website too
I enter the Mail On Sunday GK crossword and the You crossword every weekend as well as the Sunday Express GK and the Skeleton Crossword in the Sunday Express paper. Never won anything in 6 years apart from 5 wins (£25) on the Skeleton. Odd.. but I don't really do the crosswords for the money (although it would be nice) just think it is good to stretch my grey cells a bit.
I have one £50 a while back but a couple of weeks ago won the £250 main prize!!! Definitely worth doing - I send my entries by post. I'd love to see my name in print though - they do with all other crossword competitions. xx
