Making Dvd From Vhs Using W10

Just wondered - is there any built-in or free downloadable software for this, or do I need to buy? What is recommended please?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If you have a VHS tape you first need to work out how you are going to get this from the tape in to your computer. You cant just plug a VHS player in to a PC.
You can buy "capture" cards where you plug the VHS player in to the PC and the capture the VHS tape. THEN make a DVD.
I think the best option is to avoid a PC totally and get a device that has a VHS player AND DVD recorder in the same device (if they still sell them).
Then just copy straight from tape to DVD. Once you have it on DVD you can then easily copy it to the PC and do any editing etc. then create a DVD.
