This week we were both wishing for rain to soak into our dry, dry gardens.......and I bought a cocoon swing chair with comfy cushions for the patio...wine and a good book.....bliss....
And it hasn't stopped raining since......the garden is lush but soaked....the patio is flooded.....and I'm tucked up in the sewing room with the heating on..... :-(

My beautiful white clematis is hanging down and the flowers bent backwards from water won't recover. the lilac is bashed to pieces and the grass littered with blossom. At least the car looks cleaner :-)
Grrrrr - I could have done a 'big wash' at any time over the last week & it would have dried nicely on the line in the garden.
But I wasted my time doing more interesting things ... so today it could not be postponed any longer or I would be risking being 'smelly dave' as the socks and smalls ran out :(
Now my conservatory resembles the drying area of Mr Woo's Washhouse and the whole house is redolent with the aroma of damp washing :((
I was going to have curry for tea ... but that now seems unwise unless I want everything I wear for the next couple of weeks to smell of it :(((
