For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It is interesting to see that other than a post from Mel, none of the people writing these posts are promoted by Deuce and are clearly jumping to their own conclusions. For anyone considering working with Deuce and being put off by these postings, my advice would be to get feedback from some of the bands and artists I am working with rather than the people on here. You can read testimonials about Deuce with links to their websites by visiting http://www.deucemp.com/testimonials.htm
Alternatively, you can put a face behind me and see that everything I offer is genuine by watching a TV interview with me at www.muzu.tv/deuce/tv
You can also hear the quality of the bands and artists promoted by Deuce by listening to the Deuce Radio Show which is broadcast on 40+ radio stations worldwide by visiting http://www.deucemp.com/Deuce_Radio_Show.htm
If you still have any queries about Deuce, I will be more than happy to discuss them with you. Contact details can be found on my website www.deucemp.com

Deuce Management & Promotion
Offered the same deal a while ago. My main concern is, how can a company accept so many bands yet "manage" them all. Also, been in the music industry for 15 years, from small unsigned band to being signed to a major label and am well aware of the amount of con artists. Artist Management is a full time job so unless they have a few hundred managers in the company, its simply impossible. Just to clarify, I havent used Deuce and they may well be genuine. What they offer you can probably do by yourself but if they are true to their word, would save you a huge amount of time and hassle so would probably be worth the fee. Personally, i've seen far too many promoters (which this group is as far as i can tell, not managers) rip young naieve bands off that im sceptical until they prove otherwise. Usually, they dont prove otherwise, especially when they have a fee before they lift a finger! Hope these guys are genuine tho and from being on their mailing list and getting their updates, id lean very very slightly towards genuine but after this many years in music, I wouldnt trust anyone without a proven track record.
I think what needs to be clear here is that the package I am offering is for promotion and not management. It is a business I am running, so a fee has to be put in place for this to make it sustainable, but they are the lowest rates possible as I realise most independent acts do not have huge amounts of funds available. If I was to offer a band or artist management though, it would be the standard route of a percentage cut, and no up front fees.
As for being genuine, there are a list of testimonials by bands and artists I am working with on my website www.deucemp.com/testimonials.html , I have a radio show being broadcast on over 25 stations around the world which ensure all bands/artists promoted by Deuce receive radio exposure www.deucemp.com/deuce_show.html and I have included above a TV interview I had on US TV so people can put a face to me.
I know from my own experience there are a lot of unsavory characters and companies in the music industry who promise the world and do not deliver. Nobody can guarantee a band or artist success, but I have now got Deuce into a position where I can guarantee them exposure, and who knows where that may lead to in the future....
Management is also in place for some Deuce Acts through our sister company DRM Music Group www.drmmusicgroup.com Management has been offered to them as a result of the Deuce Package as through it, we have been able to gauge feedback received from radio stations/listeners and their proven professionalism.
Here's hoping this post will finally put to rest any doubts people may have about my company's integrity....

I'm having a hard time buying this. If a "global promoter" offers you something on this kind of scale and is attempting to win me over with his video, shouldn't it have more than 51 views? Unfortunately, judging from the interview via internet, it makes it seem even more so illegitimate. Were you broadcasting from a friend's basement? I don't mean to critique so rudely and I understand the time differences from Atlanta to England make it difficult to be interviewed formally, but if you're the owner/president/ceo I expect some kind of professionalism regardless of time. I assume you own a suit sir.
Now, as for being offered a promo-package, a new musician should jump at the opportunity. If you have no prior experience in marketing and you have just started up, I see no harm in having someone else take the load off your shoulders and help you out. It's a lot of work to get noticed even a little bit and build a fan base. However, if you're a band who is gigging and working hard, I'd brush this off, unless the promotion you can be provided is a line up of gigs and the promoter(s) fill the venues for you.
With regards to the free video, DID YOU SEE THEM?
Lets start with the second video. Very edgy and modern. I liked how it was shot. Although, the music didn't suit it. Strange was all that comes to mind.
Now for the elephant in the room. WHAT WAS THAT FIRST VIDEO? I can get local college kids to make a better video than that. I honestly feel sorry for that band. The music wasn't bad. It was a kind of a cool, interesting tune. But, and I mean a BIG BUT, if those effects on purpose because it looked "cool", that is the worst, WORST, possible video you could make for promotion.
I would be VERY, VERY, VERY careful with anything from these guys and would more than likely completely avoid any kind of a deal.
Although, if you are still skeptical of my advice do some research on them and use some common sense. I'll provide a little for you now:
1. If you're global why do your videos have such low hit counts on Youtube?
2. Why do you have a countless number of bands on your site that you are promoting?
3. Will I get left behind because of so many bands?
4. Have I heard of any of these bands? What kind of following do they have?
5. Some of these bands don't even have their own web address?
6. Am I really wanting to send my material to a PO box?
7. I know how much to pay them, but what else is in it for me other than free stuff I can get myself?
8. WHAT ARE THESE VIDEOS?!
That should be good for a start. I'll let you roll from there.
As a working musician of more than 10 years experience I've seen many interesting things as far as people go. There are a lot of genuine people and a lot of people who want to abuse you. Watch out for rip offs, and don't immediately trust anyone outside of your family or your second family, THE BAND.
In conclusion, take care of yourself and your music. Watch out for Deuce and their deals. Also, you might find you have to spend money to make money. Go with a trusted agency if you are looking for promotion. They will at least get your material where you want it to be because people know them and TRUST them.
Cheers

Once again I am having to defend my company from people who have not worked with Deuce and are being cowardly by staying anonymous.
The interview was filmed two and a half years ago in the most suitable settings available at the time due to the time difference. It was originally posted on www.muzu.tv/deuce/tv where it received over 18,000 plays. It has only recently been added to YouTube for viewing because at the time the interview was recorded, YouTube would not allow you to post material that was 30 minutes long. I hope this explains the low view count on there at present.
As for wearing a suit; I set up Deuce so I could escape the corporate world I was working in at the time. Why would I want to return to that environment again by wearing a suit?
The promo package I offer is mainly about the radio exposure I can provide. Everything else which involves discounts are purely optional if bands/artists believe they may benefit from them. If you also view my website www.deucemp.com you will see I have collaborated with promoters and organisations that provide gig opportunities as I am fully aware this is the main thing bands and artists want to do most.
With regards to the videos, these were arranged by the bands and did not involve Deuce. At the time of the interview, these were the main videos I had available to be included. Deuce has developed considerably since then and you can view videos by some of the bands and artists promoted by Deuce at www.muzu.tv/deuce/tv
Perhaps you would like to post one of your videos on here for some constructive critisicm......?
Please also see below answers to the advice you have provided:
1. If you're global why do your videos have such low hit counts on Youtube?
The promo package I offer bands and artists mainly concentrates on radio exposure rather than videos. However, I am regularly looking for new companies and organisations to collaborate with who can offer video exposure. Once I have found something i believe suitable, details will be posted on my website
2. Why do you have a countless number of bands on your site that you are promoting?
The promo package I offer bands and artists is low budget and affordable for most. Due to this, a large number of quality and ambitious acts are promoted by Deuce.
3. Will I get left behind because of so many bands?
No. Providing you keep in contact with Deuce via your newsletters or by simply just emailing me with progress reports, there is no reason why I will not continue promoting you
4. Have I heard of any of these bands? What kind of following do they have?
Deuce is still relatively new in the music industry so it would be unrealistic to expect a new company to be working with well known acts. Deuce is being built around new high quality acts so as my company grows, the bands and artists grow with it through all the various opportunities offered them.
5. Some of these bands don't even have their own web address?
Although Deuce always encourages bands and artists to have their own website rather than social network pages, the final decision on this lies with them rather than Deuce.
6. Am I really wanting to send my material to a PO box?
I no longer use a PO Box. Instead, I encourage bands and artists to email a link to their music to save them time and postage and packaging costs.
7. I know how much to pay them, but what else is in it for me other than free stuff I can get myself?
Radio promotion. Your music is sent out to over 100 radio contacts who all have a genuine interest in independent music. You are also included on the Deuce Radio Show which is broadcast on over 30 radio stations worldwide. Bands and artists are also entitled to various other offers which I regularly advertise, all designed to help promote them further.
8. WHAT ARE THESE VIDEOS?!

I have had no dealings with Deuce Management and Promotions (DMP), but if DMP are charging a fee for services DMP are legaly bound to ensure you are in receipt and fully understand all contractual agreements before you sign. I stongly suggest you read and understand the contract and small print. Dont be lazy it can be costly, (I know).
Once you are happy you understand the contract then the decision to sign is entirely yours. You can of course find and approach all the individual radio stations yourself. some will and some may not play your music. It's a lot of leg work, a lot of waiting around and maybe a lot of disappointment, £50/60 is not a great deal of money to have someone do all that for you.
I am not endorsing or recommending DMP, I am just pointing out the possible benefits of investing a very small sum of money in something that might provide good results.
There are of course many shysters out there (not only in the music industry). Loui Banko for instance (Jump Radio) who sole purpose is not to promote your music but for your music to promote his site so he can sell the site. This person has little or no music industry contacts, has created a site using pirated software and is a very convincing conman. He has even conned and robbed his own family. But once quizzed and researched his persona soon falls apart. (He once tried to rape and kill his own niece at knife point) Not a pleasant individual behind his mask. There are many out there who's sole interest is thier own, be careful.
In DMP's favour, they tell you upfront before you sign there is a fee. Dig around a little, read the contract, read user feedback, listen to their shows, at the very least it will make you a little wiser. DMP wont mind you doing this if they are above board and indeed it will only serve to promote thier honesty and good intentions. Dont judge them either way without getting the facts, its not fair, either to DMP or yourself, that £50/60 might just help make you a star.

im a radio presenter in the UK and Deuce work with me on my unsigned music show, Rob is a top guy and always delivers quality every time... he has a great database of contacts in the music industry and is not a rip off merchant. trust me from someone who has believed in my unsigned music show from DAY 1. if you have the money to spend on this then I would seriously give it a thought. if he didn't think you were any good then he wouldn't offer it to you (Believe me he is not like that)

This is the second round for me working with Rob Saunders of Deuce Music. I def received radio play with my last album. He does a lot of work for very little. No publicist or promoter can guarantee that your music will be heard. They'd foolish to promise that. However if your music is great then of course it will be heard. Think of it like a business. If you aren't willing to invest why would you expect anyone else to?
I can guarantee that he listened to my music before accepting me as a client. I can see every country and location that plays the track. That's why I set a private media link so I can follow up with the people that are listening. He's top notch and I'm looking forward to round two of working with him. randomorder.ca
