Anyone Had A Hobby

That you got paid to do?
I always thought my hobby would be something I pay for (subs, props, costume etc) but just this last week it has started to pay me to do it.
Early days yet but my proper job is only 5hours 50 minutes a week term time so it won't take a huge amount to allow me to give it a miss.

Didn't turn into another story, Sharon.... :-(
Guy was a dish...wanted someone who could do a really deep tissue back massage.....I worked hard to impress him...him being such a dish.....
I impressed him........he complimented me......
You're fantastic, Gness......he gasped when I'd finished the massage.......I held my breath......!
I bet you don't have any bother getting the lid off a pickle jar........he said.....

So what's you're hobby cassa?
I Upcycle furniture and sell a few bits but by the time I buy the piece, paint and wax ect I only make a small profit but if you factored in my time there would be no profit but as I enjoy doing it I don't mind.
Sometimes people ask me to do commissions but I'm not keen on that, prefer to do my own ideas in my own time otherwise I think it would be a chore.

Silliemille my friend does that as well. Well she's just started but has upcycled a wardrobe as a child's dress up wardrobe.
My hobby is am dram. I've been doing it for about five years and I find it tremendous fun. Stressful for learning lines as I have the *** memory going lol
I was up late (insomnia) one night and for a laugh signed up for an acting job finder. Since March I have been in 3 short films (student films) one music video for a rock band and have just got a job (possibly ongoing) in a docudrama series for sky picks.
It's not my career and I'm not going for fame and fortune. I just enjoy doing it and you meet some really interesting people.
I earn less than £2,000. a year as a lunch time leader but even if I broke even for the extra work I'd be happy giving school up.
Although I am in the lucky position of not needing to earn money to live on I would still like to break even on what I get now as my independance money.

Oh Cassa that sounds fun! If you don't actually need the money then go for it, if it starts to become a chore you can give it up or do less.
That's the position I'm in. I get a Company pension which I can live on, the upcycling gives me a little bit extra but I can do it as and when I'm able around other family stuff.
Really hope it works out for you.
