Corbyn thinks drinking tea is the answer and Abbott wants to talk to their mums.
These are the same mums that are subjicated by their husbands so I can't see their sons listening.

'When asked how Labour could fund a Prevent expansion, the shadow home secretary said funding would be "redeployed from somewhere else". Oh....that's OK then. With these specifics, Labour are sure to win.

I doubt talking to mums is the whole answer, but trying to influence those who influence potential terrorists, is a valid way of trying to prevent a situation from ever coming about. That isn't just the mothers or even just the parents though. It is also the religious teachers and everyone else that can pervert the mind of the easily swayed. I'm unsure why this has been singled out. Most political parties believe in working with the community to try to change attitudes. Making out that it is being suggested as the only avenue is surely just spin.
I am no fan of Ms Abbott but in fairness to her she did rightly say that working with the Muslim Community is needed and that the war against terror can not be won by just military means.
Speaking to mothers? Well, in some cases perhaps BUT...
Ms Abbott is likely to be judged and remembered, for the many gaffes in the past which renders anything she says as plausible, rather forgettable.
