Corsa Wheel Spare

I have a Corsa with 16" alloy wheels No spare I have access to a 14" wheel eco size.Some say I must not use it as it will damage the diff.Who is right?

No do not use it get a 16" spare.

If you get a front wheel puncture, jack vehicle up, remove rear wheel on same side as damaged wheel and replace with space saver, use rear wheel to replace damaged front wheel.
Simple, legal and no risk to diff.

No expert but I'd have thought the handling would be a little off with such a seesaw situation. Drivable maybe, but not something to do deliberately. How expensive is a 16" wheel from a scrapper ?
