Has anyone taken or taking premarin hrt, as i have been now for a couple of months and feel depressed, is this right? thanks.

it will often list anything like this in the information leaflet - do you have the box or packet?

i would suggest seeing your doc asap anyway, as you don't want to get yourself into a depressed frame of mind

I was prescribed Premarin in my menopausal days ..made me feel dreadful..I went down the natural route in the end as I couldn't handle the mood swings etc ..that it caused and the weight gain.Plus it is It is derived from the urine of pregnant mares .

I was on Premarin for a long time, but it never made me feel any better. Only thing is since the GP stopped it, my skin is awful, lots of moles etc, dry patches. I am watching the moles by the way.

Hi again tamirra..I do hope you weren't upset by my response and the link I gave .
I took this HRT for a quite a while before I found out what was in it and when I did research it was quite horrified to find all this info.
Once I stopped taking it I felt much better and stated taking a natural remedy Menopace together with Black Cohosh for the dreaded hot flushes.
There are other HRT 's and if you don't feel this one is any good for you ..do have a chat to your GP who will advise you better than I can .
Hope you will soon feel OK and that you will find something suitable .We are all different ..what suits one doesn't suit another . Good Luck.
