Messenger Notification

My wifes Messenger gets regular use and the "Ping"
is driving me mad. I have not been able to change it
to a more acceptable note although I have no trouble
with phone, emails, messages etc. Is it another Apple
error or is there a means to adjust??? Thanks

On your Apple, Go to Settings....Messsenger....and turn off sounds.

I appreciate that would stop ping but she would need to get an audio message.....not have to keep looking to see if she has been contacted. Any more advice please ?

She could stick an earphone device in her mobile,then she'll hear it and it won't bother you. Only... she'll permanently be wired to the phone :(

Am I to take it that Apple have screwed up again and there is no alternative notification tone except ping ?
