Any physio advice for a broken metatarsal?
4 Answers
I have tried googling this, but guess what - hundreds of pages about Wayne bloody Rooney!
It took 3 visits to casualty and a final GP xray referral for my (inept) local hospital to diagnose this about 6 weeks ago. Because it's the fifth metatarsal, near the toe they didn't plaster or bandage it. I have been able to walk on it for a few weeks now relatively easily, but when I started to run today it's clear it hasn't fully healed and because I wasn't given any physio advice, I need to know how I can help myself get better quickly and avoid bone trouble in later life. I don't want to trouble the hospital/GP any more!
