....but driving slowly round and round the big green with your dog running on the grass beside the car is a really lazy way to exercise your dog.... :-)

Exactly lb, it's the dog's walk and the dog's time and should be spent as the dog wants. I'm one of those who talks to my dog as we walk along and she loves it, looks up at me wagging her lovely fluffy tail.

Oh, LB...Yes!!!! You probably know I don't own a dog and don't intend to have one....but the times I see someone yanking hard on the lead of a stationary dog I could scream.....and nine times out of ten they don't look to see why the dog has stopped!!!!......More so now that they are probably on the phone as they walk the dog......x
Maybe we should have a word with these people and stick up for the poor dog ... ?

You would luv us then LB, we're always talking to our dogs, Bruno is quite vocal for a relative newbie and chats back, the fact neither of us really understands the other makes no difference at all.
We'll get there one day ;o)

If we thought the dog wouldn't come to any harm, HereIam.....just have a fun run....we could carry scissors and cut the lead?..... ;-)
Good to hear it hereIam, you must have a very happy dog.
Unfortunately Gness I see that everyday. Poor dog.
Baldric yes I would and I think you and your dogs understand each other perfectly. Glad to hear Bruno is coming along nicely. He's a lucky boy.
She is a happy little soul lb and loves being out and about - she's a rescue from abroad and I love her to pieces ..... x
How nice to hear it. Some people should never have dogs. Can't remember who but on here the other day someone remarked about the "chore" of walking a dog. My view is if walking your dog is a chore get a cat instead.
