Cam belt change - Focus 1.6 Zetec (52 Plate)

cant seem to see it anywhere in the booklet, anyone know what the years or mileage is when the cam belt is suppsed to be changed on a Focus 1.6 Zetec on a 52 Plate?

On the safe side, 5000 at the most, its far cheaper replacing the belt than changing the Pistons if they are hit by the valves, Spaced T.WR

Is there a nought missing? 50,000 I can believe, but not 5,000!

you wouldnt need to change pistons!! the valves take all the damage if the belt goes

Its mostly either 60,000 miles or 5 yrs old, which ever comes first.

David, there is a possibility that the vales can embed themselves in the head, you end up needing a new head, Space, a lot say leave it, you can say that when you have a lot of money to spend, the fan Belt / Tensioner needs to be replaced at the same time.
