Did you see Alan Titchmarsh, Love your Garden last night - no, I didn't think it would be your sort of thing!
Anyway I thought of you (a total stranger) when I watched it just now.
Recipient of new garden was a Royal Marine, triple amputee and training for the Invictus Games.
A truly incredible, courageous man.
I saw that !! that garden would have been in excess of 50k to create... great garden, but gives folk an unrealistic expectation. Agree a brave man ..and family ..well deserved !
Sorry, no I didn't see it, I was lucky enough to come home with everything intact, but am in regular contact with a few Mates who were not as fortunate, they are mostly doing ok.
As for these Guys doing the Invictus Games some of the things they do are incredible I admire them greatly.
Thanks for the thought :o)
Murraymints, do you think it is the case that they get given a lot for free in the hope of the advertising?
I do agree with what you say about expectations. I thought the design suited the family well - not always the case.
Baldric, thank you for your reply x
