The way she has got on with her duties, considering husband taken to hospital, now out, visiting the people from the fire, and Manchester hospital, opening Parliament, and now at Ascot.

And what an entrance she made, with the horse and carriages, an envy from other country's I would expect.

Whatever the problems we have in the UK, I am still proud to be British!

From what I've seen (or that which has been allowed to be seen) she loves them and they love her, nothing fake in what I've seen.
Which is blooming nice to see.
Certainly seem so. Prince Philip is great too:-)
I wasn't 'dissing' her. If i could afford to go to the races every day i would. As it is, i have to console myself with a bet every single day and the occasional (too few and far between) trips to the track.
Have never been lucky enough to go to the races Ken, must put that on me 'to do' list before next big birthday. Would love to go.

Pix, I like Phil, a spade is an effin shovel with him, admire the man quite a bit
Scooping - how about you don't tell me for what I should be grateful
O good an opportunity to give my version of the Queens Speech
( those who dont ike reading -stop reading now1)
the rest of you

My Lords and Ladies - May husband and Ay - and my hopeless son's government will have a mercifully short tenure - after all the first horse is out of the stocks as Ascot at 2-30, I have a nice hat to put on and Lord knows what

we think that this government will last a little longer than a chocoloate fire guard so I dont think I will read the whole of this goat crap. This means I will be back laster this summer with the rest of the speech and only donkey races at Weston super Mare to look forward to.
My government......

## Baszile: Partly because of ingrates like you we admire her all the more.

Thats funny Scooping :-)

Maybe the same for OG as well.

.
I admire her.
Peter, a bit like Dennis Skinner's traditional barb when Black Rod enters the House of Commons; his remark yesterday was one of his better ones.

"Eeh Oop, you lot. Get your skates on as the 1st race at Ascot is at 2.30"

And she certainly legged it, à Mr. Bolt, out of the House of Lords....
One thing is for sure. Her son will never command the same admiration as she does, as did her father.
Charles looked old and drawn, almost haggard, yesterday - any one want a fiver that the inheritance will go the way of George II to George III, as in QE2 to William (V) if he keeps his name.
George III was the grandson of George II as his father Frederick, Prince of Wales, pre-deceased him.
absolutement, jackdaw....mon chèr
Our queen, God bless her. A rare but passing gem.

///On her 21st birthday, in 1947, Princess Elizabeth promised, in famous words, that “my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service”///

So far she has kept her word, I wonder how many Ingrates on AB can boast the same over so many years.
I agree with Baldric.
