I've had a bottle in the freezer ('cos I've not got a fridge) for an hour now, so it should be nicely chilled now.
Bottoms up!

For anyone who chances upon this thread before Lidl closes on Sunday, the Pedro Jimenez is definitely worth trying. (OK, it's not 'really special' but what can you expect for £2.99?)
I can't recall encountering it in a white wine before - although, no doubt, I've drunk plenty of the stuff in sherry (which is what the Spanish usually use it for).

^^^ I feel sorry for people around here who have to rely on public transport to get to a supermarket. Asda is the only easily accessible store (with a 4-mile bus ride each way) although they could also get to a 'Little Waitrose' or a small branch of Sainsbury's (with a 10-mile bus ride in each direction).
Many elderly people here rely upon our two local Co-op stores which, although convenient (with one of them open until 10pm daily), have limited ranges and high prices.

PS: I'm surprised that you find Morrison's staff rude. The restaurant staff in the nearest Morrison's to me (about 9 miles away) are amazing. They go out of their way to greet, and talk to, all of their regular customers, particularly those who're elderly or who exhibit 'learning difficulties'. At the same time they seem to be able to do a multitude of different tasks simultaneously, including serving at the till, clearing tables and taking food out.
It's the staff in Asda cafés who can really irritate me at times (although, to be fair, it's the stupid working practices imposed by Compass Group which are really to blame for their apparent inefficiency and surliness).

ahh, the staff in the Morrison's cafe are nice.
Some of them on the 'shop-floor' seem to be a little bit err, 'off' to put it politely.
Forgot about my local Iceland, oh my dearie me to goodness, some staff in there I reckon, failed to meet Morrisons standard of rudeness lol
Dont quite understand why it's so difficult for staff to assist a customer when they are asked where to look for certain products. (if that makes any sense at all !)

I think many stores have unhelpful staff like that. There's a discount chain in East Anglia called 'Roy's'.
I once went to a checkout at their Sudbury store to be told; "Sorry, I'm closing now"
"But, . . . ", I said.
That was enough to annoy her: "Look, I've said I'm closing and that's it!"
"But . . . ", I said.
She was really annoyed now: "Don't you understand English? I'm closing. Go to another till!"
"But . . . "
"READ MY LIPS! GO TO ANOTHER RUDDY TILL!"
"But yours is the only till open! There's nobody else serving on any of the other tills!"
