Sunday. Cloudy again this morning.

Yesterday turned out nice, warm and sunny. A slow start, but the afternoon was better. we had a lot of lovely people in, exactly 100 visitors. We sold a lot of ice creams.

Friends here for lunch today. Always good fun. the wee white tornado will be supervising in the kitchen.

yup.as I keep saying "I can be in the garden OR the house" can't be everywhere at once !

well Kew Gardens wasn't built in a year.....

ultimately here, the garden is an extension of the house in terms of clearance.....a shame as we have the maps to when it had a makeover in 1971 - they spent £900 on it - which was a small fortune - about 30k equivalent now. Many of the bushes are still there but grown into monsters, the camelias, azaleas and rhodos.......

they being the previous owners, the only others apart from the church.

mine had not a blade of grass or living thing in it...loads of dog poo..broken glass..broken toys among the debris....oh and rats dead rats !! previous owners kept pigeons and did not bother about anything else...took 3 years to clear and ready for planting..and Loadsa dosh !!
