Probably mostly people who pay little tax are saying this.

Hoppy....my experience over the last 8 years, of being part of this annual survey, is that most people say that they would pay a little extra, if it could be used exclusively on the NHS, and other public services. Very few, if any, say that they wouldn't.

Other things I have noticed in that time are :::

Attitudes concerning racism and xenophobia have hardened...ie, more people would admit to having racist views than 8 years ago.

Attitudes to benefit claimants has also hardened.

Attitudes to gay issues have improved a lot in that time.

Considering certain happenings, isn't that not surprising?

Attitudes may have hardened, but that doesn't necessarily make them racist, as you have tried to link it to.

AOG...there is a question asked about racism, and I have seen responses to that harden over the last 8 years.

My mistake perhaps for making that clear.
Tax used as Trojan horse to crowbar in race and gay chat. Again.

Read all abaht it.
I still suspect this is mostly people happy to spend other people's money.

I see quite a spread of different people each summer, from all socio-economic groups, and the NHS seems to be universally loved and admired Hoppy !
