Altering Music Downloads
4 Answers
I have recently been dowloading MP3 music converted from Youtube videos.
Some of them have long intros which I would like to cut out. I can do this in iTunes ,but this can't be transferred to other devices.
Can any member suggest an inexpensive or free programme to do this with?
Thanks in advance.

You should note, however, that the 'straight out of the box' program can't export MP3 files. It's not a problem though once you've installed the LAME encoder:

The video below will show you how to crop an audio file in Audacity. (Youtube has loads of helpful video on working with the program). Once you've done it, don't look for an option to 'Save' the result in MP3 format. (You won't find one!). Instead you need to go to File > Export.
