Hello, i was wondering if you could shed some light on secondary cancer in the lymphnode. My dad just had a lymphnode removed (or biopsied) in his groin because it was cancerous and now they are doing mutiple tests all over his body. Is there a particular cancer it is more likely to be if the secondary is in the groin? Thank you
not especially. Lots of different cancer spread to the lymph nodes that they are near, and in fact the lymph system itself can get cancer "lymphoma". In 2-3% they can never find a primary site I'm sorry you are both going through this horrible time, and hope you find out what you are dealing with soon, because i think the waiting is the hardest
Hi 3bis, When my wife had Cancer, they removed the lymphnodes to stop it spreading elsewhere I think it is a safety precaution more than anything else, hope all goes well for him, take care, Ray
