Ebook Sent To Wrong Device

I bought an ebook on amazon but it has been sent to my ipad instead of my iphone.
How can I change it so that it is on my phone but not on my ipad?

Open your Amazon account, click on the ebook and 'send to another device' then choose your iPhone.

Thanks hc I have just found that option but it isnt working.
I am now in my amazon account and have found the section called "manage my content and devices". It is showing my ipad and 2 iphones. I think I can cancel my ipad from it. But now sure what the difference is between iphone 1 and 2?

You can either send it to both iPhones or delete both iPhones from your account then re-register your iPhone.

It is showing that the book is on my ipad and one of te 2 iphones listed. I can see the book on my ipad but not my iphone.
I have clicked to send it to the iphone which i have and which doesnt have the book on it but it hasnt appeared.

I have deleted the ipad and the other iphone from the list of devices.
I can now see the book on my phone (on the cloud but not on the device) but the amazon account says that I have no items found on my devices content.

Click on the book on your iPhone and it should download

I have bought another book and I can see them both on my phone now.
One last query - the books seem to be in the cloud rather than on my device. Does that make any difference?

If it's in the cloud you have to be online to read it. If you click on the book it should download then you will see a tick on the icon - you're books will always be in the cloud as well.
