Most of them are reliable and conscientious but, as with any such business, there will always be a few people who are downright dishonest (i.e. they'll steal parcels) or, more often, prepared to cut corners in order not to lose out on pay.
e.g. a courier might only get paid the full fee for a delivery if it's there by 5pm on a Monday. He realises that he can't make it on time, so he signs for the delivery himself and then actually delivers the parcel when he's passing the address a few days later.

Oh what are the chances of that Eddie
I'm not familiar with the company so can't really comment, I don't know how he kept the half pig for 4 days, euwww it would have been my first item to get delivered that day, to be sure it wouldn't smell and was refrigerated in time, I think you did the right thing Quoi

yes I can
he wondered about the objaaay
and was told it had been signed for
and then they said oo no we still have it -
odd I agree
postie might have
one signed for a summons for me
and I said - "there is one problem - I am not the fella on the summons." we sort of smoothed it - the postie unsigned it or something

I had a problem with couriers. Parcel due to be delivered. Never arrived, chased it up. They said it was delivered to a house that wasn't mine.
Was it signed for I asked. No they eventually said. Driver left it on the dustbin at the front of the house as no one in.
You guessed it, it was bin day. Bin men took it away.
We did get a replacement a few days later though.

Hi TWR. You might consider leaving a review of the courier on the Trust Pilot website. Within the realms of accuracy you can vent your spleen on line for others to see. I have posted on Trust Pilot in glowing terms for one firm and total negative criticism of another who had steadfastly refused to resolve my complaint with them despite phone calls, emails and recorded delivery letters. It didn't half make me feel better and it galvanised the firm to a resolution not to mention a £25 compensation cheque! Good luck whatever you decide to do.
