Is it true Billy and Todd are a couple in real life. I'm sure I read it somewhere.
I thought Todd was married with children.

That's why they call it acting!
Any actor can play any character - gay, murderer, sadist, wimp, you name it, they can all do it - and I don't imagine it's any different playing an opposite orientation - just a day at the office.

Barsel - because you don't need the actor to have the same orientation in order to play the role - which is why they don't use real policemen to play policemen.
You need a woman to play a woman, a black man to play a black man, but you don't need a gay man or woman to play a gay man or woman - which is why they don't get hung up on casting them.

Barsel - // It was just my opinion. You couldn't have Antony Cotton (Sean) playing a straight part but they have Daniel (Can't remember his real name) playing a straight part and to me it's just weird. //
It would be difficult to cast AC in a straight role, but that is because he is quite camp, not because he is gay.
A gay man who appears to be straight can easily play straight characters, and even be a heart-throb, remember Rock Hudson? But a straight man who appears to be gay, because he is camp or effeminate, would struggle to play a straight role.
But that is down to the perception of the actor, not his orientation.
