I have been unsubscribing from these for a while, but have noticed the number I am receiving are increasing.
Today I received 27 from one spam sender alone, one after another.
Am I doing wrong by unsubscribing and should I just delete them?

Yes, if you don't recognise the sender you should just delete. Unsubscribing from a spammer just confirms they have hit a genuine address.

I did wonder about that Hopkirk, thank you.
agree hoppo
do you have junk box?
mark it as junk.....
Question Author
I do have a junk box. What is the difference between deleting and junk box?
Caran if they don't automatically go into your junk box, You should be able to report them as spam. Most of mine go to my junk folder where I block them.

Barrel if I move them to junk does it automatically block them?
Hey Caran I know I'm a bit rotund but calling me Barrel is a bit below the belt. :-) When you put something in your junk folder, it gets emptied automatically after so many weeks. It doesn't stop you from receiving more. If you report as spam or block the address, it should limit the ones you get. I know it was a typo. x
Question Author
So sorry Barsel. Yes a typo.
I don't know how to block them.
I use Outlook, so I only know how that particular one works. When you get the emails, is there a little box to the left of it that you can tick? If there is, then tick it and look at any drop down menus you have to see what you can do with that particular email.Outlook seems to just put them in there automatically and when they do, I then block that address and then delete them.

I can move emails to different boxes. I did use trash and then deleted them, is there any difference to move them to junk? Sorry to be a pain am not really a techno!
Your not being a pain Caran, it's just that I'm not very good at explaining as I just do things automatically.Perhaps someone else might see your question and be able to explain it better.I usually work things out by just messing about and trying different things. If you delete them, then they are gone, but you will keep getting them.If you move them to your junk folder, your server will eventually delete them. I think that's the only difference really. You need to mark them as spam and block them but because I can't see what your set up is, I can't help really.Sorry.
Question Author
That's okay Barsel. Thanks for your help.
I have two e mail addresses. One I use for competitions, and purchases from less well known suppliers.

My main e mail address I only divulge to trusted people.

I get very few unwanted e mails on my main address, but quite a bit on the other one.

Your current torrent of spam will die away after a while.
