I have been in my childhood village for the last week and yesterday when we came home from taking the dog for a walk, the back field had been harvested for silage. There was a lovely smell of cut grass that takes me right back to 30 years ago. What are your memories from long ago summers?

I occasionally look at bungalows in the paper but I couldn't bear to move from this house and the view we have. I would feel claustrophobic anywhere else.

Best thing I did was buy a bungelow,I moved about 35 years ago when I was by myself,the price was right and it's on a nice little estate and the only major change is that they've knocked the pub down and built six more bungelows. I'd have had to move after my stroke in 2000 as I can't do stairs and I might not of found a place I like as much,
