hey ab'ers i just needed sum info about the pill and u probz all no alot more than i do im going on holiday at the end of july and well its my first proper holiday with my boyfriend and ive just figured out ill be on my period when i go (i hate them soo much some times) and i wanted to know if it would be ok to go on the pill me and my boyfriend are having sex but we use condoms and i ave wondered about going on the pill for a while and i really dont want to be on my period over my holiday because we are going to spain and it will be hot and im just going 2 be worring about it all week. i know the risk's about the pill i just needed sum friendly advice because you guys have helped me out b4 thanx in advance pompom xxxx

so can i just go on teh pill and keep taking it over my holiday ? coz i also need 2 go 2 the doc about my hayfever anyway that almost as much of a pain in the ass as sumthing else

You start taking the pill on the 1st day of your period, so if you are due the end of July I am asuming you are on your period this week - might be a bit late. If you haven't started yet, you need to get the pill from the docs a.s.a.p. You can continue to take the next pack straight after and this prevents a 'bleed'.

Lol pompom its that long ago since i was on it...i think you have to be on it for a certain legnth of time for it to be effective , as for the continuation from one month to the next you used to be able to do that,dont know about now though- your doc will see you ok im sure and tell you all i need to know- ps, another hayfever sufferer here...sniff sniff

u guys are stars n yea i started last nite o wot a lovely surprise not 2 happy about that, ill go get a docs appointment asap n just carry on taking it over my holiday im going 2 enjoy it and that isnt going 2 stop me lol thanx 4 the answers so far

Speak to your GP and see what they advise

Have a great hol. you can then decide on taking the contraceptive pill after but if happy with condoms then why change
