I've got five chilli plants in my conservatory where it's warm, has plenty of light and sunshine. Several weeks ago I topped them and they're growing well and they're looking green and lush. But my problem is it's late July and I haven't got one node or flower on any of the plants. Is it too late in the year now to get a crop of chillies or should I call it a day and throw them on the compost heap ?.
Unless you have something you want to put in the space then I would keep them going. Its been a funny growing year. My redcurrants were early, and so are the berries on the rowan but my squashes and runner beans haven’t even set yet.
