Passport Trouble!
8 Answers
Ive lost my passport, so ive been applying for a new one ... but as my countersignature took so long to sign it, its now 10 days before i go on holiday and ive still not sorted my passport out. My only option is to take it 3 hours away up to Durham on Monday and get it sent off and get it back within a week ... however i travel on the following Monday .... so looks like ill get my passport in the morning at 11 .. when im suppose to leave at 3am!!
Unless the passport office will get it to me sooner ... it looks like i might aswell forget my holiday ............. grrrrrrrrr this is the worst day ever :'(

Hi loulee. I think the passport office now says that they don't process same day passports anymore, except in extreme situations. Their turnaround time is super-quick now, so if I were you I would send all the relevant documents today by registered post. They probably put it as a high priority when they see your planned date of travel.
If you're really concerned, phone the passport office first and have a chat. They are human beings so they'll give you sound advice!
You'd be amazed at how willing they are to help in last minute applications. I'm always applying for visas with my job and most of them are done 2 days before travel!! Always fun 'n games here...
