I really want a tooth gem! So my friend said she would do it for me with a gem from her bra and some nail glue is this ok she did hers like this and it seems ok! Is there anything bad that could happen?

also don't think nail glue will be good for your tooth enamel - pop into a dentist or beauty salon and ask...

They should do it in your dentist for you but I think they only do permanent gems where they drill a hole in your tooth (like Mel C). I'm sure it isn't a good idea to use nail glue on your teeth, what if you glue your lips together?!

Depends. Some nail glues are cyanoacrylate compounds - do you really want any chemical with a cyanic component in your mouth?

you can get kits for this sort of thing in make up departments, but they look like you got food stuck on your teeth.

If you're in the UK, take a look in the new Autumn/Winter Index catalogue. There's a kit there for temporary tooth gems, for about a tenner.

ok erm quick answer : NO! for starters the glue would be very dangerous, ihave a tooth gem and they go through a long process, changing the gloves cleaning bits and bobs putting cotton wool in certain areas so the glue they use( professional glue ) which isnt harmfull doesnt get everywhere, they also gave me after care advice on leaflet! it only cost �9 too! so no need to use a bra gem(nice) and nail glue(even nicer)

Ive done it, it was ok, but got the gem stuck on my finger loads of times before i got it stuck where it should be, but when it eventually came off it did leave the glue behind that felt awful for a while, but my tooth fine. give it bash. xx
