Desperately want to sleep as I've a viral infection to boot.

Sorry you had toothache Queenie, it is the worst pain I can think of. Hope you can get to see the dentist on Monday, and that your painkillers keep working.

Yikes! I'm a private patient so I get back what I pay - well part of it anyways.

Thank you Marval. So far so good. Haven't had anything since 2 am and it's starting to pipe up but will grab a painkiller in a moment and sort it out.

It really is...when it got filled the pain just after was immense like the tooth didn't want to be filled. I sat in the waiting room and said to dad I'd sooner have period pain, my broken toe and the staple in my thumb than this. I still maintain that...to this very day. Plus I feel I have a high pain threshold.

can't you just tell dentist to get rid of the offending little thing?

I've tried but she is hell bent on doing root canal first which I have told her time and time again I don't want.

A penpal of mine said it isn't all that bad, but I'd still just prefer to have it out so it's one less thing to worry about or deal with again in future.

I'll put my foot down and have a tanty if need be.

it really is not that bad Queenie..dentists try to save teeth.. pulling is a last resort !

I know Minty, my dentist has said this tooth is close to dying though. It's been filled twice. I'll see what she says if I can get in.
