Some appliances are effectively indispensable (eg fridges), some are very useful (eg washing machines) ... but a few are just a waste of white metal and space.
Tumble Driers - they gobble electrickery like you own a power station and basically just shrink stuff whilst generating industrial quantities of fluff
Dish Washers should be consigned to the skip - they do the easy things well enough (although even then you have to rinse everything first) but they leave you to do all the heavy lifting yourself - never come across one that would actually do the pots and pans to any satisfactory degree.
