Nice to see the Belgians honouring our (Commonwealth and Allied) troops from Passchendale. Having been there, it's amazing how much of the old town was saved or rebuilt.

you are rightly so very proud....there is an enormous bond between the Belgies and us and, in many ways, you only realise that if you have lived there or you have the family history.....and all along the frontier they are incredibly accepting of we Brits, even today.

Ypres is an amazing town been there a few times - the town is so quiet and peaceful.
