Hi, if you lock in to their one year deal now does that mean you won't be affected by the coming price rise?

I locked in on their gas...didn’t get a leccy offer....its their leccy that’s going up
A one year deal is a one year deal if it's a fixed deal. But they may already have factored in some form of increase into the fixed price tariff.
You should always try to get a fixed price deal for your energy. If you go for dual fuel, pay by monthly direct debit and take your own readings (submitting them online) you get a reasonable discount.

The argument against doing so is that you will not be able to take advantage of lower prices when they go down. And salmon live in trees and eat pencils for their lunch.
