Russia, on the other hand, never has: trying to pin everything on the Germans purely for contemporary political gain is woefully transparent: and laughable .

Poland was carved up between Hitler and Stalin, who delayed his re-invasion at the end to allow the former to mop up as many of the survivng Jews as he could. So the two were never absolutely mutually incompatible :-)
As for "Poland hasn't forgot (sic)" of course they haven't. You're right to say that they remember rather better than we do, which is hardly surprising. But the constructive thing to do is to move on, while still remembering the past. This particular episide is everything to do with politics, as I suggested earlier and nothing to do with justice.
