Tadpoles becoming active at dusk
1 Answers
Have just looked into my little pond as it's getting dark. In the heat of the day all the tadpoles disappeared. Now, at dusk, the surface of the water is alive with hundreds of wriggling taddies. Has anybody else noticed this and do you know the reason why?. Do they dislike sunlight, or is there more oxygen near the surface of the water when the temperature cools?
