I've got two stick insects in my porch. One has died, but the other one moves around. He can get out and was on the front window earlier this week. I don't know whether to. I've him/her onto a bush in the garden. Any ideas please?

Apparently, there are Stick insects living in the UK. I never knew. This is interesting. They have a facility for reporting the sightings at the end of the article. How interesting for you, Carlogif. :-) https://www.buglife.org.uk/bugs-and-habitats/stick-insects

Proper stick insects? The ones from a pet shop?
Question Author
Yes! They are. Big!
Have you discovered them or bought them?

Some have become naturalised in parts of the UK.

I have reported it. We get them every year, they are usually on the wall near the garage. I think this one is sheltering from the cold!

How do I put a piccie on?
Upload photo to tinypic.com then post the link tinypic gives you here.
Well done for reporting it, Carolgif. Thanks for BA. :-)

Do you know how to use Tinypics?
We get them in the States...but they look a bit different.

I used to love watching them, and praying mantises, as a child.
Do you have privet bush/hedge, their fav food. Keep them in fish tank, collect eggs & sell to pet shops or ebay.

I prefer to see animals in the wild rather than in cages etc. I have had a lovely reply from the website and will put it on a nearby bush.
I hope it survives, but it may be lonely on its own.
