No, before I used the thing that must not be mentioned - but which Buenchico just mentioned - I had ads relating to things I'd googled or sites I'd recently bought from.

OH's son used a shared computer to search for flights to Ireland as a surprise for OH's birthday. It wasn't a surprise in the end as OH soon kept seeing ads for Aer Lingus and Irish hotels.
