Where Were You? Diana Q On Radio.
22 Answers
Driving this morning I had the radio on and a reporter was outside Kensington Palace, asking many people if they remembered where they were when Diana died.
I actually remember very well. I'd fallen asleep with the TV on, and at some point I woke up and could hear the words 'death' and 'royal ' etc so half asleep I just assumed it was the Queen Mother. What a shame I thought, turned TV off and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and put the news on, expecting to see the QM pop up on screen, and instead it was Diana's face. I just couldn't believe it. Everyone seemed to be in utter shock...and so was I tbh.

We only heard later in the day. I painted the hall ceiling in the new place, listening to the radio reports in the end, and still think of Diana whenever I dust round in the hall.
