Tilly and I were enjoying the last rays of sunlight. She was playing with her Boomer ball and I was sitting watching the sparrows flitting about. Unbeknownst to us both, there was a cat lurking in the woodland area of the garden and it suddenly decided to make a run for it across the lawn.
Tilly saw it and gave chase. It scrambled up the fence and into next door's garden. Unfortunately, next door's dog was also in their garden...

It frightened the life out of me, to be honest.
I bet the cat has gone for his / her supper, now it's had it's amusement by giving the dogs the run around.

I'm hoping it's learnt a lesson and doesn't try that stunt again, Yont. Stupid cat!
Ok Ok, Yilly. Calm down, no harm done calm down and go pour yourself a glass of what you fancy.
Cats are wonderful, ours used to crouch under the hedge and jump out at dogs being walked on leads. We only found this out when we realised that two walkers crossed the road a couple of houses away then crossed back after our house to go along the allotment path. One woman threatened to report him as a vicious animal.

I'm fine, thank you, Yont. It was not nice to witness though. That cat's a blooming nuisance.
No animals hurt, that is what matters.
That cat's a blooming nuisance.

They are cunning little creatures and experts in winding dogs up.
Question Author
Yes, Marval. That's right.

I would not have known what to do had Tilly and the cat actually met head on. I suspect I may have just stood screaming.
I'm so glad that it worked out well in the end Tilly
Question Author
Thanks, Toorak.

Bloomin' stupid cat!

Not you!
Cats have a knack of winning these little encounters. :)

I won't easily forget the look on that cat's face when it jumped back down into our garden...
I had a Lab/GSD cross who used to take off after a particular cat. One day the cat was being chased but skidded to a halt and turned around and started chasing the dog. Big brave Robbie stood behind me cowering in terror.
Different but same had cat circling my chickens tonight they showed cat they where cleverer - need to get more powerful spray pistol lol
