I have an old Compaq keyboard which I have used for many years. My new Dell system does not have the correct connection for this. I need a round end to USB connector. Problem is the round end on my keyboard plug has only 4 pins plus the tiny oblong shaped pin. Have tried Maplin and Curry's. Does anyone know where I can get such an adaptor. The only one I have been able to obtain has 6 pin holes plus the oblong one. Hope someone can help. Many thanks.

Thank you for the info. I have checked e-Bay before but all their adaptors have 6 pin holes whereas my keyboard plug has only 4-pins plus the little rectangular one. Will the 6 pin version fit the 4-pin version??
You need a PS2 to USB keyboard adaptor. Like this:

Unsure that I recall a 4 pin. PS2 used to have 6 I thought. Although pins 2 and 6 weren't connected. (The older, larger DIN style I think had 5.) Are you sure it's 4 ? If so maybe 2 and 6 have been ommited.
