Celebrity Masterchef

This is getting worse and worse. I have never heard if any of these " celebrities " and their efforts are abysmal. Turned it off within 10 minutes.

I really can't believe you've never heard of anyone taking part in Master chef. There's a world champion snooker player, a French champion tennis player, a gold medal winning snooker player, the wife and stage partner of the late Paul Daniels, a world renowned opera singer, members of world renowned pop groups, actor from one of the best received comedy shows, very well known comedian etc. Granted there are a few I don't know but don't watch the show.

Lesley Garret does my nut in.

My OH asked why so I said she bursts into song for no reason. Now she does his nut in :-)

I like Lesley. She makes me laugh.

I don't know some of the contestants, but I don't mind. I like the competition.

I find Lesley Garret less irritating than I thought I would. Some of their offerings, especially at the beginning can be more like a dogs dinner than haute cuisine but that's part of the reason I like watching it. You can see professional chefs doing everything perfectly any night of the week but seeing ordinary home cooks with basic skills trying their best to muddle through is more like my experience in the kitchen.

I knew who they were but I agree, their cooking was absolutely appalling! And does the show really expect us to believe that they were cooking raw chicken and god knows what, yet less than 24 hours later they were cooking and serving 5* restaurant food and the head chefs were saying it was perfect? As if!

I usually turn over when she's on TV but I like Masterchef.

In the restaurant kitchen they had been told exactly what to do and the chefs told them to do it again if it wasn't cooked right.

I see Anne is being her usual nice self.

I think they got rid of the right person last night but in all honestly there was no one truly outstanding. The Vicar was slightly ahead of the rest of the crowd but certainly there's no one there to rival past contestants.
