I'm working on a spread sheet and everytime I type into any cell in column C, it repeats the text into another cell, just the one cell, C24. I have no idea how I managed to make this happen, but I seriously need it to stop. I cannot see anywhere in the formatting that looks like it might help and I can't express myself meaningfully in google to get a response.

I'm putting this is chatterbank as it'll hopefully get seen by more people.

Please help. I need to do this work.

When you click on the cell is there a formula there?
Click on C24 and clear any entry in it, that should fix it.
I wonder if C24 has got a SUM formula in it?

No fomula and no entry in the cell. Just a blank cell that becomes populated by putting text in any other cell in that column.

I gave up in the end and deleted the spreadsheet and downloaded it from my email, again. Pain in the rear though as I lost all the work that I had already done.

Thanks anyway
Too late now but you should have saved the dodgy one under another name and then you may have been able to copy & paste your changes into the new download.

I wasn't too keen on doing that OG, I think the sheet may have been corrupted in some way so didn't want anything to do with using it, even for C&P.
